Neurofeedback - Why Change Can Happen

You know the saying, "Can't teach an old dog new tricks." It's wrong. Our newer understanding of the brain says that just isn't so.

You are able to change your brain throughout your life. You are doing this right now as you read this blog post.

Train Your Mind, Change Your Brain: How a New Science Reveals Our Extraordinary Potential to Transform OurselvesThere is so much we don't know about the central nervous system (your brain and spinal cord), the most complex system on the Earth but we now know that neuroplasticity, the ability of the brain to rewire itself, continues throughout life.

Neuroplasticity is one of the things that makes neurofeedback work. If you'd like to know more about this wonderful ability of the brain to change itself and improve your well-being and functioning in life, I recommend Train Your Mind, Change Your Brain, by Sharon Begley. Very readable and quite fascinating, it also explains why exercise is so important for a healthy brain.
